Concert "Singapore's Golden Jubilee & Friendship Vietnam - Singapore"

 

Ho Chi Minh city Conservatory of Music is proud to introduce the concert "Singapore's Golden Jubilee and Friendship Vietnam - Singapore", performed by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra at our Concert Hall on Friday, 25th September, 2015.

The concert is to celebrate the 50th National day of Singapore and mark the milestone of 40th year friendship between Vietnam and Singapore. In this presentation, the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra under the conducting of the Music Director - Adrian Tan will perform with two guest artists from Singapore: violinist Shan Yew and cellist Noella Yan. The program including the famous Double Concerto for violin and cello of the great musician Johannes Brahms, and the contemporary music of the Vietnamese and Singaporean composers.

Nhạc Viện Tp.HCM trân trọng giới thiệu chương trình hòa nhạc tiếp theo của Dàn nhạc Giao hưởng Sài Gòn (SPO) vào 19g30 ngày Thứ sáu 25/9/2015 tại Phòng hòa nhạc – Nhạc Viện Tp.HCM. Buổi hòa nhạc nhằm kỷ niệm 50 năm Quốc khánh Singapore và 40 năm quan hệ hữu nghị Việt Nam - Singapore.

Bên cạnh Dàn nhạc Giao hưởng Sài Gòn dưới sự chỉ huy của Nhạc trưởng - kiêm Giám đốc Âm nhạc SPO Adrian Tan, hai khách mời từ Singapore: nghệ sĩ violon Shan Yew và nghệ sĩ cello Noella Yan sẽ tham gia với vai trò nghệ sĩ độc tấu.

Chương trình bao gồm tác phẩm nổi tiếng thế giới Concerto cho Violon và Cello của nhà soạn nhạc vĩ đại Johannes Brahms và các tác phẩm đương đại của cả hai nước Việt Nam, Singapore:

Bernard Tan – chương II Andante, trích Cello Concerto

Đàm Linh – Rhapsody "Bài ca Chim ưng" cho violon & dàn nhạc.

Johannes Brahms - Concerto cho Violon & Cello giọng La thứ

    The Saigon Philharmonic proudly presented the world premiere of renowned Vietnamese composer Nguyen Van Nam's Symphony No. 9, a monumental work for large orchestra & choir, inspired by a poem of Le Anh Xuan "The River of Memory". Opening the program was Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor with Singaporean soloist Albert Lin. Featured in the the movie "Shine", this concerto has the reputation of being "devilishly difficult" to play and is certainly one of the most challenging concertos in the repertoire.
